In a recent press conference, the head coach of Japan’s football team Mr. Hajime Moriyasu had announced the 23 man squad that is going to participate in the AFC Asian cup 2019.
In order to strengthen the team, he had kept all the important place irrespective of their current performance. It clearly shows that he strongly believes in the players of his team so as to drive towards the victory.
Top players of the team, Shoya Nakajima, Takumi Minamio and Ritsu Doan has claimed that it will be a very big opportunity for the players under the guidance of head coach Hajime Moriyasu to prove their best in the 2019 AFC Asian cup starting on Jan. 5 in the United Arab Emirates.
Majority of the sports websites stated that Captain Maya Yoshida will be playing the defense like he used to before. In order to make his efforts fruitful legendary players Yuto Nagatomo and Yuya Osako adding their support for his play.
But unfortunately this time the Japan football team will be playing in the UAE with none of their veteran players like Shinji Kagawa, Keisuke Honda, Shinji Okazaki who has been contributing their best for the national football team for over a decade now.
In 2011 Japan was unable to take home the World Cup as it wished, so this had put all the pressure on the team’s efforts to lift the trophy of AFC Asian cup and by looking to win the tournament and dedicate the prize money to the board.
They have also made a proper decision by keeping players who had played in the FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia. Because their experience will surely help the team in fulfilling its wish winning this championship.
According to the schedule of 2019 AFC Asian Cup, the Japan team squad will be playing in the Group F where it is going to face the Turkmenistan football team squad.
